Know about Find My Device feature

Talking about Google, the company has finally released the upgrade of Find My Device. After this upgrade, you can also trace the location of the switched off phone. Although the company had announced this feature in May 2023, but now this feature has come on smartphones. 

For iPhone users

If you are an iOS user, you need to enable the Find My setting in your device. For this you will first have to go to the settings of your phone. Here you have to tap on your name and then click on the option of Find My. From here you can share your location with your family and friends. Now you have to click on Find My Device and turn on this setting. To see when your phone went offline, you will have to turn on the option of Find My Network. Keep in mind that to use this feature your phone's location should remain on. Now to find the lost device, you have to open Find My on your other device. Here you have to select the lost item. From here you can locate your device on the map. You will find several summary options using which you can search for the device. If you want, you can also lock the phone.

For Android users 

Whereas Android users will have to go to the Find My Device website to find their lost phone. So for this, you have to login with the same account with which you have logged in to the lost phone. Now, you will get the list of all those devices in which you have logged in with this account. From here you can see the last location of your phone. Since Google's upgraded Find My Device feature has not been released for everyone.
