For 50 minutes, fireworks lit the night sky across the region, with explosions in places such as Yas Island, the Abu Dhabi Corniche, and the MOTN Festival when lit by fireworks. The record-breaking fireworks broke out each hour beginning at 6 p.m. to climax at midnight.
