New Delhi: Finally after Prime Minister Narendra Modi reshared influencer Yuvraj Dua's reel post on Instagram and encouraged his father, Bobby Dua, to give up sweets, Dua’s father took up exercising and quit sugar products. Bobby Dua has finally taken the advice of the Prime Minister to eat health things.
In a recent Instagram post, Yuvraj Dua’s father is seen turning down sweets like jalebi and kaju katli in favour of salad, and choosing nariyal pani over sugary sodas.
Bobby Dua has also taken up exercising and jogging.
In the end of the video, Yuvraj and his sister Pari ask their father why he never followed their advice, he replied, "Main bolunga toh jaldi sooge? Virat Kohli bolega toh soge?”
The siblings admit they would, prompting him to joke, “Toh tum Kohli paglu aur main Modi paglu!”
PM Narendra Modi reshared a video posted on Instagram by influencer Yuvraj Dua. In the post, the PM Modi emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle and urged people to reduce their sugar intake.
In an Instagram reel, influencer Yuvraj Dua jokingly expressed his dad's admiration for the PM Modi.
In the video, he said that the Prime Minister talked about reducing sugar intake on the radio program Mann Ki Baat, her father would probably listen to him and reduce his sugar intake.
In the video he called his father, "Modi-paglu papa", and said "Mr Modi, I have a humble request. Since your words are instructions to my father, if you say something against sugar intake in the next 'Mann Ki Baat', my father's sugar consumption might reduce."
In the video, he also jokingly says, "People say that in India, sons are unable to show love to their fathers. In my father's list of love, family comes second, Modi ji comes first. We cannot compete with Modi ji. If you tell my father that the building is on fire and there are children, wife and Modi ji and you can only take one out, my father will say that only Modi will come."
The caption of this video shared on Instagram reads, "Sugar kam karwa do Papa ki."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the video in a light-hearted manner and also offered advice for a healthy lifestyle.
PM Modi shared the reel on his Instagram story and wrote, "On Yuvraj’s request, I urge his father (and everyone else out there) to reduce sugar intake… be healthy, be happy.”
The Prime Minister then continued his message in the next slide of his Instagram Stories warned that excessive sugar can lead to several health problems, including obesity, and encouraged people to practise yoga.
Yuvraj Dua later expressed his happiness that Prime Minister Modi had shared his video.
Reacting to post, Dua said, “Surreal sa hogaya yeh toh (This has become surreal). Kahan pohonch gayi video would never have thought (I never imagined the video would reach such heights).”
Dua later sent a direct message to his father as well: “Now even Modi ji has said. Please accept it, papa.
