New Delhi: The mere mention of Chhath brings a thrill to every Bihari living abroad. The grand festival of Chhath isn't just a festival, but a sea of emotions that overshadows even long train queues, waiting lists, and crowds. This year, a unique case of the obsession to return home for Chhath has surfaced on social media , leaving you astonished. Unable to secure a confirmed train ticket, a man and his companions embarked on a 1,200-kilometer journey by auto-rickshaw.
This viral video was shared by a user named Rishav Thakur. In the video, Rishav explains that he had to go to his home in Madhubani for Chhath Puja. Despite numerous attempts, when a single train ticket wasn't confirmed, instead of giving up, he devised a unique solution. Instead of waiting for other means of transport, he hired his own auto-rickshaw and set off for Bihar with two friends.
In the video, Rishav is seen showing off the luggage and belongings inside his auto. The auto is completely overloaded, carrying three people: Rishav himself and two of his fellow drivers. During the journey, they stop at petrol pumps along the way. In the video, he also explains that both of his auto's headlights are damaged, so he has installed a separate makeshift light in the front to avoid any problems traveling at night. The rotis he brought from home for food and the occasional short breaks make his journey even more exciting.
If we calculate mathematically, auto-rickshaws typically don't exceed 40 kilometers per hour. Thus, a 1200-kilometer journey would require approximately 30 hours of continuous driving. However, if we factor in the factors of continuous driving, such as physical fatigue, traffic jams, refueling, and resting the vehicle, the entire journey could take more than three days.
Seeing this immense devotion and passion for Chhath Maiya, social media users are showering love. One user wrote, "Long live the son of Bihar." Another user offered advice, saying, "The journey is very long, brother. Get your car's headlights repaired." Most users praised his devotion and prayed to Chhath Maiya for a safe journey.
