New Delhi: As the clock tickles and we are a few hours away to enter into 2025, lot of people making plans to make the most of their New Year celebrations. Amid all this the Pune Club has come up with a unique idea of giving New Year surprise to their clients who wish to celebrate the New Year eve in their pub. One of the Pubs in the Mundhwa area of Maharashtra has sent special gify items to their clients as a part of the New Year gift. They send condoms and ORS solutions in the gift packs. However, the move has caught the attention of Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress, who have lodged a complaint with the local police showing the gift items as a part of the invite. Them member of the Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress said in the complaint, We are not against pubs and nightlife. However, the marketing strategy to attract youngsters is against the traditions of Pune city. We demand strict action by police against the pub management.The complaint also allege that these are inappropriate moves and are against our culture and tradition and will sent a wrong message to the youth of the country.Meanwhile the Pub Management on the other hand, defended its action and said We are not committing a crime by distributing condoms. We are doing this in the name of safety and awareness. To create awareness among youngsters, we distributed condoms and sanitary pads.The police is investigating the matter and have collected details from the pubs management. The complaint also mentions that these fancy restaurants and pubs use this stratgegy to attract customers to generfate more revenue.
