Viral news: A bodybuilder has sparked outrage on social media after sharing a video of himself performing push-ups in front of a moving plane engine. The 23-year-old, identified as Preslie Ginoski, posted the footage, which he recorded last year, to TikTok recently. Almost immediately, the video garnered millions of views but was removed for allegedly violating community guidelines. Despite being taken down from TikTok, the footage was shared across other platforms, drawing both admiration and criticism from users.
In the video, Ginoski is seen climbing onto the engine of a stationary plane and performing a few push-ups, showcasing his muscular physique. The footage, which initially appeared to show the engine in motion, quickly raised concerns about the potential danger of the stunt. However, Ginoski defended his actions, claiming that the plane was parked and not in use at the time. “The plane was parked on the bay and wasn’t moving until the next day,” Ginoski explained in an interview. He added that the apparent movement of the engine was simply caused by wind, not by the plane itself.
Ginoski continued to clarify that the video was meant to be humorous and lighthearted. "I just wanted people to get a laugh about it," he said, stating that he wanted to give the impression of someone working out just after stepping off the plane. He also argued that, despite appearances, the stunt was entirely safe. “A lot of people have missed the fact that it was safe,” he said, emphasizing that the engine’s movement was a result of wind, not actual engine power.
Ginoski also explained that it’s common for flight attendants and pilots to sit in the engines for photos, further suggesting that such an environment can be safe under the right conditions. He claimed that as long as the engine is cleared and safe, sitting inside the turbine is not unusual.
While Ginoski defended the stunt, many social media users were quick to voice their concerns. One individual commented, “Stupid move—it wouldn’t take much for that engine to turn him into mince meat.” Another user added, “Oh wow, what could go wrong?” A third person expressed frustration, stating, “Wonder why more people are dying young? Moronic decisions like these.” Some criticized Ginoski’s desire for attention, with one user remarking, “Man, people are addicted to attention.”
News reports revealed that Ginoski filmed the stunt while working at an airport in Sydney. He has since left his role and shared the video online. A spokesperson for Sydney Airport, where the incident took place, responded to the controversy by condemning any unsafe behavior on the airfield. “Sydney Airport has zero tolerance for unsafe behavior on the airfield, and we take all reports of potential safety breaches extremely seriously,” the representative said.
