New Delhi: A video of an army training graduation ceremony in Indonesia is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, the rest of the soldiers are seen celebrating with their family and friends, while one soldier is seen standing alone for some time. Seeing him standing like this, his commander reaches him and hugs him without saying anything. The soldier becomes emotional due to this sudden affection of the commander and tears come out of his eyes. People watching the video also became emotional at this moment.
This video is said to be of the closing ceremony of the training programme of the Indonesian Army. The soldiers who completed their training were present in the ceremony. After the programme was over, many soldiers were getting themselves photographed with their parents, relatives and friends. Meanwhile, a young man was seen standing apart from the rest. He was seeing his friends celebrating with family members. The caption of the video claimed that the soldier was missing his family at that time.

Therefore, it would not be correct to say that no member of his family had come to the function. There is a difference between the initial viral claims and the information that emerged later.
This is where an interesting twist emerges in this viral story. Later Indonesian reports, based on information provided by the family, said that the soldier's parents were present at the ceremony. The family searched for him but were unable to recognise their son among the large number of look-alike soldiers. According to the jawan's sister, the family members kept searching for him for a long time. In such a situation, the initial assumption that no one from the jawan's family had come to the function does not tell the complete picture.
According to the information revealed by the family, a large number of soldiers were present at the ceremony, wearing similar hair, uniform and military equipment. The jawan's sister told that it was difficult for the family to recognise their brother in the crowd. He jokingly said that everyone's faces looked similar and the strong sunlight had also increased the problem. Family members were present at the spot but could not reach the jawan at the right time.
The commander hugging the soldier in the video made people very emotional. Many users praised the behaviour of the officer and said that military leadership is not limited to discipline only, but boosting the morale of the soldiers in times of need is also a part of it. Some people associated this embrace with fatherly affection. Social media users from different countries also reacted to the video.
The special thing about this video is that at first glance it seems to be the story of a young man who was left alone by his family at the function. But information revealed later showed another aspect of the picture. The family were there but could not recognise their young man. Despite this, the commander reaching out to the soldier at that moment and hugging him became the most emotional part of this entire incident.
