Milkman Accused Of Spitting In Milk Before Delivering It To Homes, CCTV Raises Alarm

Rudrapur: There was an uproar in Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand after a person selling milk was accused of mixing spit in milk. The case is from Ravindra Nagar, where the local people raised suspicion on the milkman's actions and caught him. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, in which he is seen opening the milk can and taking it near his mouth. However, only after police investigation will it be clear whether he had actually mixed something in the milk or not.

What was the milkman seen doing in CCTV?

According to the local people, the milkman had reached Ravindra Nagar on a bike carrying milk tanks as usual. Meanwhile, he opened the can of milk and was seen taking it near his mouth. A woman claimed that she saw him spitting in milk. After this, people got the recording of the CCTV camera installed there and examined the footage.

After the footage surfaced, people surrounded Dudhiya and started interrogating him. However, he continued to deny the allegations. He said, 'Why would he mix spit in milk?' Some people said that it was possible that he was smelling the milk.

Why did the controversy regarding the name increase?

The matter became more heated when people asked the milkman his name. Local people allege that he had earlier told his name as Prem. Later during interrogation he revealed his name as Mohammad Shahid. After this people demanded to see the documents of his bike.

It was told that instead of Prem, the name was registered in the documents as Mohammad Sahil. The questions raised regarding the name further increased the suspicion of the people present on the spot. However, the police are investigating the reason behind the name difference.

Did the milkman drink milk after the allegations?

The people present at the spot told the milkman that if he has not mixed anything in the milk then he should drink the same milk and show it. After this he took out milk from the can and drank it. Despite this, the anger of the people present there did not subside and they informed the police. After the police arrived, the milkman was taken to the post. There he was interrogated and the CCTV footage that surfaced was also taken for investigation.

Why did people of Hindu organisations reach the spot?

The local people had also informed the people associated with the Hindu organisation about the incident. After receiving the information, some people from the organisation reached the spot and interrogated Dudhiya. He was asked to respond to the allegations, but he clearly denied spitting in milk.

Later, seeing the matter escalating, the police were called. Police reached the spot and took control of the situation and took the milkman with them.

On which points is the police now investigating?

Apart from the CCTV footage, the police are investigating the statement of Dudhiya and the information received from the local people. The police are also looking into what was the real meaning of the action seen in the video. At present, there is no confirmation of any kind of adulteration or spit being mixed in the milk.

Police have appealed to the people not to reach any conclusion before the investigation is completed. Officials say that the truth of the allegations will be revealed only after investigation of the entire matter.
