An unknown buddy of the animals and activists informed them about the abandoned dog. Volunteers like Renu Khinchi stayed with the dog overnight, fed her, and took proper care of her. An ambulance was arranged to safely take her to a secure environment where proper care can be provided for her.
After safe rescue, the dog was named 'Swiggy' as a tribute to the food delivery platform for their efforts to bring back lost pets to their owners. The good deed inspired hope and sympathy towards the dog, as people took to social media to protest her abandonment.
