Viral Videos Show Pakistani Fans Turning On Their Own Team After Heavy Loss To India

Colombo: Pakistani cricket fans and influencers are devasted and angry after their team was defeated by the India in Sunday's T20 World Cup 2026. Videos circulating on social media show Pakistani supporters not just disappointed but lashing out at their own players online.

What was the score?

India defeated Pakistan by 61 runs in the T20 World Cup at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo last night. This is Pakistan's biggest defeat against India so far in T20. 

Batting first, India made 175/7, with Ishan Kishan leading the charge, hitting 77 runs in just 40 balls. This inning was amazing on a slow pitch, everyone else was scoring runs with difficulty but Ishaan seemed to play something different.

How are the Pakistani fans reacting?

The Pakistani fans are heart broken after the match. 

On Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms, Pakistani fans vented frustration at everything from the team’s strategy to individual players’ performances. 

Many people used humour and sarcasm and others criticized and mocked their own team.

In several clips shared online, fans turn the camera inward, criticizing their batsmen, shaking their heads in disbelief, or expressing disbelief as the match slipped away. 

What about real-life reactions?

Not all responses stayed online. A fan's video went viral after he broke the TV at home in frustration.

"India won again, and I broke the TV in anger," he wrote on social media. Laughing at himself, he posted, "Completely broken, ashamed, and in shock - can't even speak." 

Such reactions show how seriously the India-Pakistan cricket rivalry is taken by fans on both sides of the border. 

In another video posted on X, a Pakistani YouTuber is seen sitting with his family, frustrated after Pakistan’s defeat. 

The atmosphere turned chaotic when his sister asked, “Cake ka kya karna hai?” and he angrily smeared the cake on her face.

What's the buzz?

Pakistan's defeat comes after a few weeks of drama off the field, during which the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) threatened to boycott the game, before ultimately overturning their decision after learning of the financial and sporting damages that could come their way.
