Woman Earning Rs 11 Lakh Wants Groom With Rs 1 Crore Salary, Matchmaker Drops Her Client Profile

Indian matchmaker Oendrila Kapoor shared a video on Instagram explaining why she had to remove a woman's profile from her matchmaking service.

According to Oendrila, this 28-year-old woman earned around Rs 11 lakh annually. Initially, her family simply stated that they wanted a man from a good family, educated, and with a good job. But as proposals began to come in, their expectations grew.

The matchmaker explained that his team sent proposals from several eligible men based on the woman's age, education, and profile, but the family rejected all the proposals one by one. After the constant rejections, the team wondered what the family really wanted.

What is the reason of rejection?

After this, Oendrila Kapoor and her team asked the woman and her family to send the profiles of the boys they liked.

When the profiles appeared, the team was astonished. According to Oendrila, in all the profiles submitted by the family, each young man had an annual income of over Rs 1 crore. Furthermore, all belonged to the Bengali Brahmin community.

When the team asked if an annual income of Rs 1 crore was a prerequisite, the woman said it wasn't. She added that she found such men more physically attractive. However, when asked about caste, the woman's mother said her father wanted a groom who was only a Bengali Brahmin.

Why did matchmaker delete the woman's profile?

Oendrila Kapoor said that while it's okay to have preferences, the problem arises when even those who meet those expectations aren't interested in pursuing the relationship.

She claimed that her team contacted all potential profiles that matched the woman's interests, but none expressed a desire to pursue a relationship. She then removed her profile from his matchmaking service.

At the end of the video, Oendrila Kapoor said that high-income people don't just look at money, but also consider the other person's behavior, thinking, and family attitude. According to her, excessive expectations, authoritarian behavior, and unrealistic demands often destroy even good relationships.

Amidst this discussion, an interesting fact emerges. In India, the number of individuals who declare a taxable income of Rs 1 crore or more annually is approximately 3.5 lakh. Therefore, if a spouse is required to earn Rs 1 crore annually, the options are automatically limited.
