Mahindra is preparing to give its flagship SUV, the XUV700, a major facelift. Launched in 2021, the XUV700 has been one of the most popular SUVs in India. Now, the company is working on a refreshed version with big updates in design and features. The new model is expected to arrive soon with a more premium look and advanced technology.
During road testing, the new XUV700 facelift has been spotted with several major updates. It may feature a new front grille, slim LED projector headlamps, redesigned bumper, and new alloy wheels. The SUV’s side profile and flush door handles remain the same as before. At the rear, a new bumper and modern LED lighting signature are expected. These changes may give the SUV an even more modern and premium look.
The interior is expected to feature more high-tech equipment. The new SUV may come with a triple-screen setup infotainment, driver display, and co-passenger screen – along with dual-tone upholstery and rear ventilated seats.
Instead of the earlier Sony audio system, now a 16-speaker Harman Kardon 1400W system, ADAS Level-2 technology, auto parking assist, and a new steering wheel may be included. All these features will make this car even more premium in its segment.
It is expected that there will be no changes in the engine options of the new XUV700 facelift. It may continue with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine. Both engines may come with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. The option of All-Wheel Drive (AWD) will also remain. That means the SUV will continue to deliver the same strong performance as before.
The company has not revealed the launch date yet, but according to reports, the XUV700 facelift may enter the Indian market by early 2026.
