New Delhi: Bajaj has sent a new update of its most popular bike, the Pulsar 150, to the market. The company has made some changes in it, which make it feel more fresh and practical than before. Prices start at ₹1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 1.15 lakh depending on the model.

What changes were made this time?

This time the most clearly visible change in the Pulsar is in the headlamp. Now it has LED headlights and LED indicators. This was a problem in the earlier model, so people will immediately notice this change. Apart from this, the graphics and color options have been changed, due to which the stance of the bike looks a little more sporty. The design is the same old identity; just a little new touch has been given.

How is the engine?

There has been no tampering with the engine. It is powered by the same reliable 149.5cc DTS-i motor, which provides adequate power for daily use. On paper, it gives about 14 PS power and 13.4 Nm torque, but people buy this bike not because of the figures, but because it does not jerk in the city, gives good mileage, and does not burn the pocket in the service. Three variants are offered—Base, SD UG, and TD UG. Rates have increased compared to the old prices, but the company's bet seems to be that with the LED update and new colors, customers will accept this increase.

Are people also excited about the new bike?

Pulsar 150 has become an emotional name in a way in the Indian market. It doesn't have the grandeur of a superbike but has the peace of a reliable bike. For this reason, whenever a new model comes, people ask, “What has changed?” Let's look at it from their perspective. This time the answer is that there has been some shine, but the identity has remained the same.

Power, comfort and character are the same as before

There is more competition in the 150cc segment now than ever before—TVS, Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha are all trying their best. In such a situation, Bajaj clearly did not take a big bet but has presented the existing model with a little refinement. The company knows that at this time Pulsar buyers want stability, not a big experiment. Overall, the new model is for those who were looking to get the same bike and just wanted a slightly new look. Power, comfort, and character remain the same.
