nside MS Dhoni's Garage: 7 Rare Motorcycles That Define Thala'sLove For Vintage Bikes (Pinterest)
New Delhi: MS Dhoni’s bike collection goes far beyond a hobby. The crickter has over 70 bikes in his Ranchi garage, which is more of a museum than a garage. The collection includes a hand-made superbike from the USA that are only 150 of this model across the world, and a vintage two-stroke that has been his bike of dreams since he was 13.
Here's the list of some of the rare motorcycles that the former Indian captain owns:
MS Dhoni's flagship is the Confederate X132 Hellcat. Made in America, it's a revolutionary motorcycle that is inspired by WWII fighter aircraft planes, with150 of this model across the world. Dhoni is the only owner in South Asia. This bike is made from strong materials like the kind they use in airplanes. It has an engine that is 2,163cc and it is very powerful with 132 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. This thing is super fast. You can buy it for Rs 47 lakh.

MS Dhoni got his Ducati 1098 when it was available for a short time. The Ducati 1098 has a 1,098cc engine that's very strong. It can go over 160bhp. It can go really fast up to 270km/h. It can also go from 0 to 100 in, than three seconds. The Ducati 1098 is a cool bike. It is not a commonly seen type of bike on Indian roads and is one of the highly coveted bikes in the collection of Captain Cool.

Dhoni has a collection of Harleys, one of which is a Fat Boy, that he rides around Ranchi. It is powered by a 1,746cc Milwaukee-Eight V-twin, will weigh in at more than 300 kg and will cost Rs 25 lakh ex-showroom.

The Yamaha RD350 is one of the few significant machines Dhoni has, it is allegedly the first motorcycle he ever owned. Its 347cc, two-stroke engine had a capacity of some 39 bhp and it was a monster in its time. The value of a clean, restored RD350 is Rs 3-6 lakh, depending on its condition, but for Captain Cool the value is more than the rupees.

Birmingham Small Arms didn't just create the Gold Star, they created a standard. The first production bike to reach 100 mph at Brooklands – all 500cc singles were factory-dyno charted. Costing over Rs 5 lakh, Dhoni's vintage bike is one of the rarest bikes in the country today.

Out of more than 70 bikes, Dhoni's Norton Jubilee 250 is considered as subtle. The 249cc twin was produced in Britain in the late 50s for Norton's diamond jubilee, in relatively small quantities. It is very difficult to come by one today that is in good shape. That Dhoni has one in his possession in Ranchi is testament to his eye for the history, not the redline.

The Yamaha Rajdoot, which is the Yamaha brand's R350 model with the Escorts brand logo, is probably the most emotional bike in Dhoni's garage. For Dhoni, it's said to be bike that he rode in College days in Ranchi. It produced a 347cc two stroke parallel twin that produced 30-39bhp and was absolutely fast for its day and received a wild reputation. The Rajdoot is loud, light and raw and is now a cult legend. This isn't the fastest or the most expensive of Thala's collection of more than 70 bikes, but it's definitely the one with the biggest story.
