New Delhi: Land Rover Classic just dropped something wild. They created four custom Defender V8 SUVs for one customer. And these are not your regular cars. The main thing about them is crazy. The paint changes color on its own. The best part about these unique cars is the amazing paint. It changes color all by itself depending on the light and how you look at it.

What are the car models?

The collection has four models. There is the Defender 90 Station Wagon, the 90 Soft Top, the 110 Station Wagon, and for the first time, the 110 Double Cab Pickup.

How is this magic paint?

All four cars have a paint called Spectral Green. Here is the thing that the paint changes color depending on the light and the angle you look at it. One moment it looks green. Then it looks purple and then it looks gold. The color shift is real and dramatic.
The company spent 400 hours working on the paint for each car. They worked in the lab to get it perfect and shiny. The same color also appears on the 18-inch alloy wheels and the dashboard.

What's inside the car?

The interior is pure luxury. The seats are vanilla leather with green stitching. The floor has super wool carpet. It feels expensive and looks sharp. The car looks old on the outside but inside it is modern. There is a 9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is a rear camera and the sound system is top-notch.

How is the engine?

Do not let the classic look fool you. Under the hood is a beast. It has a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine. The engine makes 405 PS of power and 515 Nm of torque. This is serious performance. It has an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The suspension and springs were completely redone. The brakes are 4-piston disc brakes. They had to be big to handle the speed.

How it gets made?

These cars are not sitting in a showroom. They are handmade on order only. First, the company finds an old Defender from 2012 to 2016. Then they take the whole car apart. Every single part comes off, then they rebuild it from scratch. New engine goes in and new features go in. Modern technology gets added and all done by hand. The company gives one year of unlimited kilometer warranty. That says something about the quality.

Why this matters?

This is not mass production but an art. One customer wanted something special and Land Rover made it. They took a classic car and made it modern without losing the soul of it. The color-changing paint is the standout. It catches the eye as it changes as you move around. It is the kind of detail that makes people stop and stare. This is what luxury means now like take something old and keep what made it great. Add what makes it relevant today. Do it by hand and make it one of a kind.
