New Delhi: There is great news for Mahindra fans. The company is gearing up to launch two new SUVs in India by March 2027. These SUVs are named the Scorpio-N Facelift and the 'Mini Scorpio'. The Mini Scorpio will, in fact, be the company's 'Vision S'—a concept of which was first showcased in 2025. There has been considerable buzz surrounding these two upcoming Mahindra products over the past few days. So, let's take a look at what the company plans to offer in these SUVs.
**Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift**
The updated Scorpio-N is currently undergoing testing and has been spotted on numerous occasions. However, the company has not yet confirmed its official launch date. It is expected that Mahindra may launch the vehicle during the festive season, likely around Diwali. Inside the cabin of the Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift, you can expect a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a new digital driver display, a redesigned central console with repositioned AC vents, and armrests for both front and rear passengers.
Under the hood, the SUV will continue to offer the same engine options as before: a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 203 bhp and a 2.2-liter diesel engine producing 175 bhp. These engines will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 4x4 drivetrain system will remain exclusive to the top-trim variants. This SUV may also be equipped with 'Da Vinci' dampers—a feature that was first introduced in the XUV700.
**Mahindra Vision S (Mini Scorpio)**
Mahindra is set to launch its first model based on the modular 'NU_IQ' platform during the first quarter of 2027. The production version of the Mahindra Vision S is expected to be showcased at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Expo. Its boxy, upright silhouette bears a resemblance to rugged SUVs such as the Scorpio and the Defender. Spy shots suggest that the SUV will look largely identical to the original concept showcased in 2025.
The new Mahindra Vision S compact SUV will be based on a new modular, monocoque architecture named NU_IQ, which is compatible with various body styles and powertrains—including hybrid, EV, and ICE options. It will be positioned in the segment between the XUV 3XO and the Scorpio N. It is designed for those seeking a rugged lifestyle SUV. It is expected to feature the same 1.2-liter TGDi petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines found in the XUV 3XO. The SUV will subsequently be launched in hybrid and electric versions as well.
