New Hyundai Venue Unveiled Ahead of Launch Next Month

Hyundai has released the first official pictures of the new second-generation Venue, showing its complete interior and exterior design of the new compact SUV. The company has already commenced bookings for Rs 25,000, and the final price announcement scheduled to made on November 4. The new Venue carries the same three engine options as the previous model but comes with a completely refreshed design and a more premium interior with lots of new features.

Updated Exterior Design

The new Venue looks sharp and modern, with bold character lines, full-width LED lights, and chunky body cladding that gives it a strong SUV presence. The front features a wide LED light bar that blends into quad-beam LED headlamps, along with a large rectangular grille and a silver-finished bumper with muscular styling. Functional air vents on the bumper and a sculpted bonnet add to its bold look.

From the side, the character lines are more pronounced than before, inspired by the Tucson and Exter. Side cladding runs along the doors and wheel arches, and a rear quarter glass has been added. The blacked-out C-pillar has a silver garnish with the “Venue” name, and the 16-inch alloy wheels feature a new design. At the back, there’s a full-width LED light bar set in black trim, L-shaped reflectors, and dual-tone bumper cladding. The new Venue is slightly larger than its predecessor, measuring 3995mm long, 1800mm wide, and 1665mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2520mm.

Interior and Comfort Features

Inside, the most noticeable change is the curved dual 12.3-inch display, bigger than the Creta’s. Hyundai has kept many physical buttons and dials for easy control of media and air conditioning. The steering wheel features four illuminated dots instead of the usual Hyundai logo, inspired by Morse code. The dashboard has a dual-tone theme of dark navy and grey, with vertical AC vents designed to resemble an “H.” The center console has been redesigned to include controls for ventilated seats, parking cameras, electronic parking brakes, and drive/traction modes. Ambient lighting highlights key areas of the cabin. The Venue also offers new features like rear-seat recline, sunshades, two-tone leatherette upholstery, front parking sensors, and better legroom in the second row thanks to the longer wheelbase.

Engine Options and Performance

Mechanically, the new Venue continues with the same three engines as before: a 120hp 1.0-litre turbo petrol, an 83hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, and a 100hp 1.5-litre diesel. The base petrol comes with a manual gearbox, while the turbo-petrol offers a 7-speed DCT. The diesel now has an optional automatic torque converter.

Trims and Competition

Hyundai has introduced a new trim naming system for the Venue, which will come in seven variants: HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX7, HX8, and HX10. Once launched on November 4, the Venue will compete with rivals like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
