New Delhi: In the mid-size SUV segment, Renault has launched its new generation Duster in the Indian market. After its introduction in January 2026, the company has now revealed its price and features. The new Duster has been launched with multiple engine options, modern features and better off-roading capability, due to which it will try to strengthen its hold in the segment again.

How many engine options are offered?

The company has given more than one engine option in the new Duster. It has a 1.8 liter petrol E-Tech Strong Hybrid engine, which comes with a 1.4 kWh battery and can run in electric mode for limited distances in traffic. Apart from this, the Turbo TCe 160 engine has been provided, which generates about 153 PS power and 280 Newton meter torque. Another turbo petrol engine option is also available. It is offered with both manual and automatic transmission.

What is special about the features?

The new Duster has been significantly upgraded in terms of features. It has LED headlights, connected taillights, 212 mm ground clearance, roof rails and a dual tone exterior. The interior includes features like a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, a 360 degree camera and built-in Google support. Apart from this, a large boot space of 700 liters and an electric power tailgate are also available.

How strong is it in terms of safety?

Special attention has also been given to safety. This SUV has been provided with more than 35 safety features along with six airbags. It also includes Level-2 ADAS technology, which makes driving safer and easier.

What is the price?

Renault has kept the starting ex-showroom price of the new Duster at Rs 10.49 lakh, while the price of its top variant goes up to Rs 18.49 lakh. An effort has been made to keep it competitive in terms of price.

Which vehicles will compete?

In the Indian market, the new Duster will compete with popular SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate and Skoda Kushaq. The company hopes that the Duster will once again attract customers with its new design, features, and engine options.
