New Delhi: Tata Motors has introduced a stellar lineup of electric cars in the Indian market, and among them, the highly affordable Tiago EV has carved out a distinct identity for itself. Launched in 2022, this compact electric car gained recognition as India's first mass-market electric vehicle. Now, this compact electric hatchback is set to arrive in an updated avatar, promising a host of special features, including improved range and enhanced capabilities. So, let's take a look at the potential highlights of the upcoming 2026 Tata Tiago Facelift.

What's New and Special This Time?

You might be wondering: what exactly can one expect from the Tata Tiago EV when it finally arrives in its facelifted form? Let us tell you that amidst all the reports surfacing regarding the updated Tiago EV model, certain details appear consistently—one of which pertains to its driving range. It is widely speculated that the Tiago EV Facelift could feature a 30kWh battery pack, potentially capable of delivering a range of up to 350 kilometers. The current model of this electric hatchback is offered with 19kWh and 24kWh battery pack options, providing a single-charge range ranging from 223 kilometers to 293 kilometers. Furthermore, there is talk that the updated Tiago EV could be equipped with prismatic battery cells.

What About Fast Charging Support?

The 2026 Tata Tiago EV Facelift is expected to feature a '6-in-1 i-Drive' motor setup; it is believed that this powertrain could generate up to 88 PS of power and a peak torque of up to 140 Nm. Another significant highlight of the upcoming Tiago EV Facelift is the anticipated inclusion of fast-charging support of up to 50 kW, which would effectively reduce the charging time required for this electric car. What's Better in Terms of Looks and Features?

Speaking of the potential looks and features of the upcoming Tata Tiago EV facelift, it is expected to sport newly redesigned headlamps featuring a twin-barrel setup and LED DRLs, along with an improved taillamp assembly. Additionally, it will come equipped with newly designed alloy wheels. As for the interior, the 2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift—compared to the current model—will feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. Furthermore, it boasts a new two-spoke steering wheel, a gloss black center console, touch-based AC controls, a sunroof, a front center armrest, rear AC vents, a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, among other features.
