Bihar To Recruit 32,388 Teachers Under TRE-4, Over 16,000 Vacancies for Classes 11-12 (X)

Patna: Under the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4) requisition sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for the appointment of 32,388 teachers, the highest number of teachers will be appointed for Classes 11-12. The lowest number of teachers will be appointed for primary schools, at 3,847.

What are the district wise details of number of vacancies sent?

Regarding the appointments under TRE-4, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said that this is the first time an assessment has been conducted to determine the teacher shortage in each district. Based on this, a request for teacher recruitment has been sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission.

During the assessment, it was revealed that the largest teacher shortage is in Plus-Two schools. Furthermore, the shortage of teachers in the science stream is particularly severe, so subject-wise vacancies have been listed in the request sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission.

The lowest number of teachers appointed was 3,847 for primary schools. During the assessment of vacancies, it was revealed that there is a shortage of 1,000 teachers in Purnia, Jamui, and Araria districts compared to the sanctioned posts. Consequently, more than 1,000 teachers will be appointed for these three districts.

What about other classes?

After plus-two schools, the largest number of appointments are to be made in middle schools. The BPSC is to recruit 8,563 teachers for Classes 6 to 8. Meanwhile, 3,877 school teachers are to be appointed for classes 9 to 10.

Even before the new appointments, the Education Department will provide teachers on deputation to other departments. These include schools run by Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes. After the new appointments, the department will have additional teachers available.
