Khan Sir Gets Court Relief, Roshan Anand Faces Setback As Bail Plea Rejected In Patna Coaching Row

A Patna civil court on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching, who was arrested in connection with the ongoing dispute between coaching institutes in the city.

Khan Sir Gets Court Relief, Roshan Anand Faces Setback as Bail Plea Rejected in Patna Coaching Row (X)

Patna: A Patna district court on Tuesday granted interim relief to Faisal Khan, alias Khan Sir, director of Khan Global Studies, accused of attempted murder and illegal use of scriptures, and stayed his arrest until June 20, the next date of hearing. Meanwhile, the regular petition of Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching, was dismissed.

What did the lawyer say?

Faisal Khan's lawyer, Arvind Kumar Mouar, pleaded for anticipatory bail, stating his innocence. Public Prosecutor Rajesh Kumar opposed the bail application. After hearing both sides, the court requested the police to provide the case diary to reach a final decision on the anticipatory bail plea.

What did the court say?

The court also asked the police for Faisal Khan's criminal history. The court directed the accused to assist the police in the investigation and appear whenever summoned.

The anticipatory bail matter came up before the principal district and sessions judge, who, after hearing the case, issued a stay on Khan’s arrest and fixed June 20 as the next date of hearing.

What is the case?

Based on the viral video of the firing near the coaching institute, the police of Kadamkuan police station have registered case number 418/2026 against Khan Sir and his two security guards under various sections of BNS and Arms Act on June 4 at Kadamkuan police station.

Was Roshan Anand's bail plea rejected?

Meanwhile, the regular bail plea of  Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching, accused in the case of assaulting the guard of Khan Global Studies, was rejected by the court of First Class Judicial Magistrate Anurag Verma on Tuesday.

The court reserved its order on Monday after hearing both sides in the case. The accused are accused of assaulting and injuring a guard at Khan Global Studies.

Police arrested Roshan Anand, Abhishek Kumar, and Gaurav Kumar and sent them to jail on June 3. An FIR in this matter, number 410/26, was lodged at the Kadamkuan police station on June 3 under various sections of the BNS by an employee of Khan Global Studies.

Hearing on regular bail of security personnel today

The regular bail plea of  Pradeep Kumar and Talebar Singh, two security guards of Faisal Khan of Khan Global Studies, who is lodged in jail in the court of First Class Judicial Magistrate Anurag Verma in the case of attempt to murder and illegal use of weapons, will be heard on Wednesday.

On June 7, Arvind, the lawyer representing both accused, sought bail. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court reserved its order. The court requested the police provide the case diary and the collected evidence. The court set June 10 as the next date for hearing the case.
