New Delhi: Amid the ongoing war between Iran-Israel-USA, gold and silver prices are experiencing constant fluctuations these days. Sometimes prices fall, and sometimes they suddenly rise. The price of precious metals are directly affected by national economic conditions as well as international market activity.

How much did the price of gold fall?

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures (August) opened at Rs 1,43,575 per 10 grams, compared with the previous close of Rs 1,43,106. 

On Friday, Gold was trading at Rs 1,44,173 per 10 grams, up Rs 1,067 or 0.75 per cent. During the session so far, the yellow metal touched an intraday high of Rs 1,44,230, an increase of about 0.8 per cent.

The precious metals saw a major movement, in Delhi the 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,44,490 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,32,460 per 10 grams. Silver traded at Rs 2,34,900 per kg.

In Mumbai, the 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,44,340 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,32,310 per 10 grams. Silver traded at Rs 2,34,900 per kg.

In Kolkata, the 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,44,340 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,32,310 10 grams. Silver traded at Rs 2,35,100 per kg.

What is the reason for price fluctuations?

According to experts, US-Iran tension and the changing environment of the global market are directly affecting gold and silver. When geopolitical tension increases, investors buy gold considering it as a safe haven. Prices go up. But when the tension subsides a little, people start booking profits. For this reason there is pressure on prices. The strength of the dollar also makes gold expensive.
