The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an emergency rescheduling for portions of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026 on Saturday after widespread technical glitches severely disrupted the morning session. Service provider M/s TCS reported a major systemic error that prevented several examination centers across the country from commencing the test on time. In response, the NTA confirmed that the technical issues have since been resolved and promised that all affected morning-session candidates will receive full compensatory time to ensure no student is unfairly disadvantaged.
Consequently, the NTA has officially revised the schedule for the afternoon examination session. Entry and reporting at the designated test venues will now begin at 2:30 PM, with the examination officially starting at 4:00 PM instead of its originally scheduled 3:00 PM slot. Expressing deep regret for the severe inconvenience caused to both students and parents, the testing agency further clarified that morning-session students will be permitted to exit the venues only after completing the full, uninterrupted duration of their papers.
