CBSE Class 12 Result 2026: Likely in Third Week of May, No Official Date Yet (X)

New Delhi: The wait for results for over 1.8 million students who have taken the CBSE Class 12th exam may be even longer. According to the latest information from the Central Board of Secondary Education, results is expected to be announced in the third week of May. This raises the question of whether results will be announced on the same dates as last year.

The CBSE Class 12th exams were conducted from February 17 to April 10, following which evaluation and result processing began.

When will CBSE Class 12th result be declared?

The board has made it clear that the 12th grade results will not be released so soon. Results are likely to be released in the third week of May. Last year, in 2025, CBSE released both the 10th and 12th grade results simultaneously on May 13. Based on this old date, it is being speculated that this time too, the results will be released in the second or third week of May.

How to check the result?

When the results are released, you will be able to view them on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, or on Digilocker.

To check your scorecard, the student will need roll number, date of birth, school, and center number (if checking via SMS). The student will also be able to instantly download a digital copy of your marksheet from Digilocker.

Is the examination of copies complete?

The board has completed the evaluation of answer sheets but the process of uploading the results to the website is currently in its final stages. Once this technical work is complete, the result date and time will be announced by CBSE. This year, the Class 12 exams began on February 17 and continued until April 10, 2026.

How many marks are required to pass CBSE Class 12th?

The student must score at least 33 per cent in each subject and it is mandatory to score 33 per cent in both theory and practical. Last year's pass percentage was 88.39 per cent, with girls outperforming boys. While 91.64 per cent of girls passed, the pass percentage for boys was 85.70 per cent.
