The bulletin also clarifies that admit cards will be available for download starting January 11, 2027. Let's explore the entire matter in detail. We'll learn about the new rules for selecting exam cities for JEE Main 2027. We'll also learn about the details of admit card issuance.

Choose exam city based on permanent address or current address

NTA has changed the exam city selection rules for JEE 2027. Under this, candidates applying for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 can only choose the state of their permanent or current address as the exam city. There are four options to choose from for selecting the exam city. Candidates must select four cities based on their permanent or current address. According to the rules, candidates living abroad or foreign candidates must select the exam city based on their permanent and current address. NTA has clarified that candidates with a foreign address must choose an Indian exam city from the four exam city options.

Option to choose another city

The NTA has clarified that if there are not enough exam cities in the state of a candidate's permanent or current address, candidates may be given the option to select another city based on administrative convenience. The NTA advises candidates to carefully check the name and code of the exam city before finalizing their application to avoid any errors.

NTA can merge the exam cities

The NTA may also merge exam centers. The NTA has stated that if the number of candidates in a city or center is too low, such cities or exam centers may be merged with other cities or exam centers. The NTA has clarified that it will make every effort to assign candidates the exam city of their choice, but there is a possibility that exam cities may be allocated to other cities due to administrative or logistical reasons.

Admit cards will be available for download from January 13

Admit cards for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 will be available for download starting January 13th. Admit cards can be downloaded from the NTA's official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
