New Delhi: The NEET results have not come yet. But students already have 4 marks in the bag. How? One Physics question was dropped. The answer key came out on June 21. The exam was held across 5,000 centers on that day. NTA dropped one Physics question from the answer sheet. That means all students get 4 marks for free. It would not matter if they solved it or not.

Two correct answers?

There was another Physics question in trouble. Two answers looked correct. Students who picked either one will get full 4 marks. So they get the benefit of doubt.

Deadline to challenge the answer key?

Students can challenge the answer key. The deadline is tomorrow. To challenge the one question costs Rs 200. But there is a catch. If the challenge is right and the question gets dropped, the applicable fee will be comes back. So if you win, you get your money back.

What dropping a question means?

When a question is dropped, all students in that shift get the marks for it. NEET UG was held in only one shift. So all students got the same question dropped. Over 20 lakh students took the exam. All of them get 4 marks now.

Why questions get dropped?

Sometimes there is a typing error in the question. Sometimes the translation is wrong. In those cases, the question gets dropped. When a question is dropped, no one will lose the marks, and everyone will be benefitted. It will be fair to all.

What is the other problem?

NTA released the answer key, but one question had issues. Some students said that two answers are correct. NTA is looking into it. If the challenge is successful, that question will also be dropped. Then students get 4 more marks.
