Kolkata: News has emerged regarding the death of Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, a renowned actor in the Bengali entertainment industry. It is reported that the actor died as a result of drowning. However, the police have not yet officially confirmed the exact cause of his death. At the time of his demise, Rahul Arunoday Banerjee was filming for 'Bhole Baba Par Karega', a popular serial airing on Star Jalsha. According to reports, a tragic accident occurred shortly after the filming session concluded, leading to Rahul's death.
According to reports, the show's production unit had traveled to Talsari, near Digha, for the filming of 'Bhole Baba Par Karega'. After the shoot wrapped up, Rahul went to the seashore with the serial's lead actress to take a stroll and enjoy the water. During this time, he was caught up in the waves and began to drown in the deep water.
Technicians and other individuals present at the scene rushed to rescue him upon seeing him struggle in the water. They managed to pull him out with great difficulty. After extracting him from the water, Rahul was immediately rushed to the nearby Digha Hospital; however, he breathed his last while en route. It remains unclear whether Rahul's death was caused by drowning or if he suffered a heart attack.
According to reports, Atish Biswas, the Additional Superintendent of Police for the Purba Medinipur district, stated that—based on preliminary information—the death appears to have been caused by drowning; however, the police are currently investigating the incident from every possible angle. The exact cause of the actor's death will only be confirmed once the post-mortem report is received.
Rahul Arunoday Banerjee was a well-known name in the Bengali film industry. His most celebrated works include the 2008 blockbuster film, 'Chirodini Tumi Je Amar'. Rahul Banerjee passed away at the age of 43.
