After being divorced by actor Arbaaz Khan, the actress was in a relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor. After their separation, the actress has been reportedly seen dating diamond merchant Harsh Mehta, who is 19 years younger to her.

Recently during a podcast, the host Siddharth Kanna, asked Aastha Atray about her opinion on why Malaika Arora dates younger men and about the PR strategy.

While sharing her opinion, Aastha said she doesn’t agree that it’s PR machinery to date younger men. She then highlighted the point that older men who date younger women don’t get questioned, while there are a lot of men who date younger women with an age gap of 20 years or even 25 years. Pointing out the stereotype, Aastha shared that those men don’t have a specific name for that.

What is the reason of dating young man or woman?

While replying to question of the host regarding the reason of dating young man and woman, Aastha said that a 40-year-old woman will be financially independent, and all she would want is a man who takes control, is confident, has a good job, is accountable, and is present—all those things that women after 35 or 40 find more important.

She also said that Malaika is not finding an older man to date is because she is confident, independent, successful, and opinionated, and older men don’t want to be questioned. 

She further explained that when older men get to date a younger woman, then why will they date a woman of their age? Maybe that is the reason Malaika is dating younger men, because they may be seeking inspiration from her. In contrast, a man her age may feel that he has not done enough given her success.
