Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon's 'Mimi' is one of the best films she has delivered in her career. The movie was fully women-oriented, and it took a lot of preparation, which included gaining weight, learning an accent, knowing about motherhood, etc.

Now, in a recent interview, Kriti has revealed something very interesting and warm step taken by her during the movie shoot. She even called it a smart move.

In her recent interview with Humans of Bombay, the actress shared how she got her eggs frozen during the preparation time given for the movie. She revealed that it was two months before the film shoot when she took this decision, as this procedure needs a lot of bloating.

In her recent interview, Kriti stated that, “I spoke to someone who told me this is the best thing you can do for yourself if you can. It's the best gift that you can give yourself. It stayed on my mind. Then, when I was told to gain weight, I thought this was the right time to do it."

She also shared that the process caused a lot of hormonal disturbance, and she felt a lot of emotions at the time of getting the procedure done.

The actress shared how she took a lot of time to come to this decision. She thought quite a lot about the matter and also shared that she never wanted to be obliged by the thought of "needing to get married now, or I need to have kids now, and I'm doing it because I have a timeline."

Kriti also voiced her opinion on marriage and children and shared that marriage is something an individual should only get into once they actually feel they are ready to take the big step. She stated, "Whether it's marriage, whether it's kids, you need to do it when you feel it inside, you feel ready for it. You know, it shouldn't come out of some clock or a pressure."

According to an expert, egg freezing is a form of fertility preservation for women. They defined that, "Fertility preservation saves your eggs, sperm, or reproductive tissues so you can have a biological child in the future.
