New Faces, Famous Surnames: Star Kids Who Stepped Into Bollywood in 2025 (Instagram)
New Delhi: The year 2025 saw a familiar Bollywood pattern play out once again. New actors arrived with well-known surnames, heavy expectations, and instant spotlight. Some came quietly. Others walked in amid noise and debate. Love them or criticise them, these star kids ensured one thing, they were hard to ignore. As the year ends, here's a grounded look at the young names who made their Bollywood debut in 2025.
2025 turned out to be a big year for a new wave of star kids stepping into the Bollywood industry. Several young actors with film lineage or industry connections found themselves in front of the camera and in some cases behind it, as they launched their careers in movies and streaming work.

Ahaan Panday: One of the most talked-about debuts came from Ahaan, who appeared as the lead in 'Saiyaara', a romantic musical drama that drew strong box office numbers and wide attention. He is part of the Panday film family, and his transition from assistant director to leading actor captured headlines.

Rasha Thadani: Daughter of Raveena Tandon also made her acting debut this year in the period drama 'Azaad'. Her performance, especially in the film's dance sequence, found a strong audience response.

Ibrahim Ali Khan: Another fresh face was Ibrahim, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, who stepped into acting with the teen romantic comedy 'Nadaaniyan' opposite actress Khushi Kapoor. Though the film's reception was mixed, his debut marked a key move into Hindi cinema.

Aaman Devgan: The nephew of Ajay Devgn, appeared in 'Azaad' alongside Rasha Thadani, marking his own first screen appearance. His debut was quieter but closely watched, especially given his family background.

Shanaya Kapoor: Daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, made her debut in the pan-India film 'Vrushabha', expanding her family’s long association with Bollywood to a new generation.

Veer Pahariya: Another notable presence was Veer, who stood out with his role in the patriotic action drama 'Sky Force', gaining praise for a mature and committed performance.
While some star kids made their fresh debuts, Sara Arjun, already known for her earlier work as a child actor, featured in the spy thriller 'Dhurandhar' alongside actor Ranveer Singh, showing her evolution into more grown-up roles.

Not all high-profile names entered through acting this year. Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, made his directorial debut with the Netflix series 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood'. The show became a cultural talking point without him appearing on camera, highlighting another path for industry newcomers.

Reactions were mixed. Some debuts, like 'Saiyaara', saw strong commercial and audience support, while others received debate and critique online over performances and expectations attached to star kids. Still, 2025 will be remembered as the year when the industry's next generation stepped forward, on screen and behind the camera.
