Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh has once again landed in controversy, this time over a viral video with actress Anjali Raghav. The clip, widely shared on social media, shows the actor misbehaving with Anjali during a public event. While Anjali was busy interacting with her fans on stage, Pawan Singh was seen repeatedly touching her waist inappropriately. After initially staying silent, the actress has now spoken out against his actions.
But the way Pawan Singh behaved is not going down well with social media users. Users are seen strongly criticising the actor. Anjali has now spoken out about the controversy, releasing a video on her Instagram handle. In the clip, she explained, “For the past two days I’ve been extremely upset. I keep getting messages about the Lucknow incident, with people questioning why I stayed quiet, why I didn’t react, or even slap him. Some are misjudging me, claiming through memes that I was laughing or enjoying it. But tell me, would I really feel happy if someone touched me in public? Continuing her statement, Anjali further said that the whole thing was that after the event was over, they had dinner and returned. When she came home, she realised that the matter had blown up. She tried to speak up but was told that Pawan Singh’s PR team is very strong. “Don’t post or message anything. They will write something against you. The more upset you are now, the more upset you’ll become.” She felt that in a couple of days the matter would cool down.
The actress said that she tried several times to talk to them. But neither did they talk to her nor ask how she was. She does not support such things. She added that if this had happened in Haryana, the public would have responded themselves. Now she will never work in Bhojpuri again. Along with this, she has also asked people what she should do about this matter now.
