Pawan Singh Divorce Drama: Is Jyoti Demanding Rs 10 Crore and Noida Flat? (X)

Patna: The divorce case between Bhojpuri actor-singer and BJP leader Pawan Singh and his wife Jyoti Singh was heard in the Ara Family Court in Bihar on Wednesday, but as usual the actor did not appear in the court.

The actor's wife Jyoti Singh appeared alone at the Court and broke down while presenting her side of the dispute.

Jyoti was seen wearing sindoor, that indicated that she wants to save the marriage.

What did Jyoti demand?

Jyoti demanded Rs 10 crore in alimony and a residential flat in Noida, saying she has been ignored and mistreated during their marriage.

Jyoti told the judge she has been married to Singh for seven years but has not received love, care or responsibility from him.

"I have been married for seven years. But to this day, I haven't received any love from my husband, nor has he fulfilled any responsibility towards me," she told the court.

"I want to save this marriage, I want to live with my husband," she said while crying.

"But if he will not live with me, I need Rs 10 crore for maintenance, she added.

Why is Jyoti asking for so much?

According to court filings, Jyoti’s initial claim was for Rs 10 crore in alimony. Her lawyers said she is seeking financial security now that the marriage has broken down.

Pawan Singh's lawyer, however, said that Jyoti originally asked for Rs 5 crore. After the judge urged both sides to narrow issues, she revised her demands. The new plea includes a flat in Noida along with about Rs 3 crore as maintenance support.

Jyoti also said she has repeatedly tried to settle matters and come to an agreement with her husband, but is met with delays and avoidance instead.

Why was Pawan Singh absent again?

Pawan Singh did not attend the court session. His legal team cited health reasons for his absence. This is not the first time he has missed hearings in the divorce case.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for February 24, 2026.
