UK PM Keir Starmer enjoys Shah Rukh Khan's song: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who is currently in India for his official visit, had a light moment during his visit to Yash Raj Studios. Starmer, during his first official visit to India was treated to the classic song 'Tujhe Dekha To' from Shah Rukh Khan's popular film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' (DDLJ) at the YRF studio.
Interestingly, Yash Raj Films also shared this exciting moment on its social media account. Taking to the Instagram handle, Yash Raj Films shared UK PM Keir Starmer moment. YRF also expressed their honour in hosting the UK PM. Along the caption of the video, YRF wrote, "Incredibly honoured to have had the opportunity to host the UK Prime Minister @keirstarmer at Yash Raj Films in Mumbai yesterday!"
Apart from sharing the video, Yash Raj Films highlighted the relationship between the UK and YRF. It further wrote, "The UK & YRF’s relationship goes back a long way, and we were thrilled to make the PM listen to the iconic Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jaana Sanam from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) as the Bollywood blockbuster celebrates its 30th anniversary."
After visiting YRF studio, a major announcement was made. Talking about the deal with YRF, UK PM said, "Our ties with the UK deepen with a three-movie production pact starting in 2026. YRF is currently producing the stage adaptation of DDLJ, the English musical Come Fall In Love, to entertain audiences with this beautiful cross-cultural, East meets West love story!"
It is to be noted that Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', is a 1995 romantic drama film, helmed by Aditya Chopra. Alongside, Shah Rukh Khan, the film also features Kajol, Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, Parmeet Sethi and others in the lead roles.
