Moscow: India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is currently on a visit to Russia. During this visit, he held high-level meetings with top Russian officials. In these meetings, NSA Ajit Doval took strong aim at Pakistan, albeit without explicitly naming the country. Doval stated that responsible nations must make a clear choice regarding whether they support the sponsors of terrorism or confront them with decisive action. He further emphasized that there can be no "double standards" in the fight against terrorism.

Why Did Ajit Doval Call for Reforms in the UNSC?

Addressing the inaugural International Security Forum and the 14th Meeting of High Representatives on Security Issues in Moscow, NSA Ajit Doval also called for reforms within global institutions to ensure a stronger voice for the 'Global South' (developing nations). Doval highlighted the urgent need for reforms in the post-1945 global security frameworks to effectively address emerging threats in a multipolar world. He asserted that such reforms must ensure greater representation for the nations of the Global South and ensure that their perspectives are incorporated into global decision-making processes.

What Did Ajit Doval Say About Iran War and Strait of Hormuz?

During the meeting, Ajit Doval also addressed the conflict involving Iran and the threats posed to energy transportation routes passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Shedding light on the situation in West Asia, Doval stated that it is imperative to ensure the safe and uninterrupted movement of trade through key international waterways, including the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea.
