Baloch Rebels Declare War in Pakistan, Launch Coordinated Attacks Across 17 Locations (Source: Social Media)
Baloch insurgents in Pakistan’s Balochistan province have announced an armed offensive against the military. Late Tuesday night, they carried out simultaneous attacks on several government establishments across Balochistan. Reports also suggest explosions at multiple locations in the province. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has taken responsibility for carrying out the attacks. The BLF announced it has launched “Operation Bam (Dawn)” against Pakistan. Under this operation, at least 17 attacks were carried out in various districts, including Panjgur, Surab, Kech, and Kharan in Balochistan. However, Pakistani authorities have not yet confirmed the full extent of the damage.
Local residents have confirmed attacks at various places across Balochistan. The BLF primarily targeted military posts, communication lines, and government offices of Pakistan. BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch called the operation “a new dawn in the Baloch national liberation struggle”, noting that the campaign extends from the coastal Makran region to the rugged Koh-e-Sulaiman mountain range. He claimed that the attacks were carefully coordinated to inflict maximum casualties on Pakistani security forces and damage their strongholds.
In a press release, Major Gwahram stated, “The resistance has moved into a new phase. Operation Bam is designed to demonstrate that Baloch fighters are capable of executing large-scale, coordinated operations across vast areas.” He added that more details would be shared after the conclusion of the operation.
These assaults are among the largest and most coordinated attacks carried out by the BLF in recent years, highlighting the ongoing unrest and separatist tensions in the Baloch-majority province. The BLF has consistently accused the Pakistani government of plundering Balochistan’s resources and denying its people fundamental rights and self-governance.
