IRGC Quds Force Commander Esmail Qaani incapacitatedAccording to trusted sources, Esmail Qaani, the commander of Iran’s IRGC Quds Forces, has reportedly been incapacitated following Israeli airstrikes on Beirut during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. Various reports suggest that Qaani is either seriously wounded or may have already succumbed to his injuries.

Furthermore, intelligence assessments suggest that Qaani was possibly killed alongside Hashim Safi Al-Din, a senior Hezbollah official. Israeli authorities are reportedly evaluating the possibility that both key figures were eliminated in the strikes.

The United States has been briefed on these developments, with confirmation from multiple sources indicating the severity of the situation.

Hashem Safieddine's elimination was confirmed earlier

Lebanese security sources have reported that Hashem Safieddine, believed to be the next in line to lead Hezbollah after the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, has gone missing following an Israeli airstrike on an underground Hezbollah facility in Beirut. This facility was reportedly hosting significant Hezbollah figures, including possibly high-ranking members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), such as Brigadier General Ismail Qaani, head of the Quds Force.

In response to a recent missile barrage from Iran, which saw about 200 missiles launched at Israel, the Israeli military is gearing up for a substantial counterstrike. Despite the attack causing damage to several airbases, Israel's critical infrastructure and aircraft remained unharmed.

Additionally, Israel has asserted that over 400 Hezbollah fighters have been neutralized in Lebanon. The IDF's current ground operation in southern Lebanon focuses on destroying Hezbollah's military capabilities and establishing safety for Israeli northern communities to return, aiming for a swift resolution while remaining vigilant against further conflicts.
