China, Arbitration
International News: Amid the ongoing conflicts in many parts of the world, questions are constantly being raised on the role of the United Nations. Many experts say that the United Nations has failed on many fronts in the last few years and there is a need to change its structure. Meanwhile, China has taken a new step and directly challenged the United Nations and created a new platform for mediation at the global level. More than 30 countries signed this platform, due to which this institution can play a new role in resolving global disputes.
Recently, China has established an international arbitration organization along with more than 30 countries including Pakistan, Indonesia, Belarus, Cuba. By becoming the founding members of this organization, these countries have taken a step forward towards providing a new platform for resolving disputes in the world. The headquarters of this new organization will be in Hong Kong and representatives of 50 countries and about 20 organizations including the United Nations participated in its inauguration ceremony.
On the launch of this new institution, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China has always advocated resolving international disputes through mutual understanding and dialogue. Our goal is to ensure that global relations and international disputes are resolved in an amicable manner. China described this organization as the world's first inter-governmental legal organization, which will resolve international disputes through arbitration. China also said that this organization will work in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter and will promote global peace and cooperation. Hong Kong leader John Lee said that the work of this new organization can start by the end of this year. He said that after the establishment of this organization, disputes between many countries will be resolved through negotiation and arbitration, which will strengthen global peace and agreement.
This move by China challenges the role of the United Nations, which has played an important role in resolving global disputes for many years. However, in the past few years, the United Nations has been accused of not being able to play an effective role in many conflicts. This move by China may be an indication that in the future, the role of new types of institutions may increase in global peace and dispute resolution.
