International News: US President Donald Trump has once again launched a direct attack on his predecessor, Barack Obama. In a bold statement made on Tuesday, Trump accused Obama of planning a conspiracy to sabotage his 2016 presidential campaign. He went as far as calling it an act of treason, although he did not provide any solid evidence to support his claim.

Obama Yet to Respond

This is not the first time Trump has criticized Obama, but it is the first time during his current campaign that he has accused Obama of criminal actions. Trump's statement has sparked debate in political circles, especially since it comes at a time when he is once again running for the presidency. As of now, Barack Obama or his spokesperson has not responded to the accusations.

Trump Refers to Tulsi Gabbard’s Remarks

During his speech in the Oval Office, Trump referenced a recent comment made by Tulsi Gabbard, his intelligence chief. Gabbard had suggested that officials from the Obama administration should be sent to the Department of Justice for prosecution over their handling of intelligence related to alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Trump used this statement as a base to strengthen his claims, saying that the intelligence findings and actions taken by Obama-era officials were part of a larger plan to damage his election campaign.

Declassified Documents Cited by Trump

Trump also referred to newly released classified documents, claiming that these papers reveal a coordinated effort by top Obama officials to connect him with Russia falsely. According to Trump, these officials worked behind the scenes to weaken his image and mislead the American public.

He added that this was not just political rivalry but a dangerous attempt to interfere with the democratic process. By doing so, Trump said, Obama and his team crossed all limits and committed what he called a treasonous act.

Trump Says Obama Hurt American Democracy

According to Trump, the actions taken by the former president were not only unethical but also harmful to the principles of American democracy. He claimed that Obama attempted to manipulate the election and did things that even other nations would not dare to do in a democratic setup.

Trump insisted that the American people deserve to know the truth about what happened in 2016. He ended his statement by saying that no one, no matter how powerful, should be allowed to misuse government institutions for personal or political gain.
