Trump Warns Iran, Calls for Allied Warships to Keep Hormuz Shipping Route Open (X)

Washington: Amidst the ever-increasing tension in the Gulf region, US President Donald Trump has made an important appeal to the major countries of the world. Trump has said that to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and safe, many countries should send their naval ships there.

What did Trump write on 'Truth Social'?

In a message written on the social media platform 'Truth Social', Trump said that many countries are being affected by Iran's efforts to disrupt this important sea route. In such a situation, navies of other countries along with America can also take part in the security of this route.

After this statement, the already ongoing tension in the Gulf region has further deepened. In recent times, the number of ships passing through this sea route has decreased and many oil tankers are avoiding this route, which has increased concerns about global energy supply.

Which countries did Trump appeal to send warships?

In his message, Trump said that countries like China, France, Japan, South Korea and Britain should also send their ships to this region. He said that all these countries are largely dependent on the shipment of oil and gas passing through the Strait of Hormuz, hence the security of this route is everyone's responsibility.

Trump also said that if many countries jointly monitor this route, it will not be easy for any one country to disrupt it.

Why is the Strait of Hormuz so important?

The Strait of Hormuz, located between Iran and Oman, is counted among the most important sea routes in the world. Globally, large quantities of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) pass through this route every day.

This is why any kind of tension in this region directly affects the international energy market. If this route is closed, there may be a huge jump in oil prices and the energy supply of many countries may be affected.

Has America already caused major damage to Iran?

Trump claimed in another post that America has caused serious damage to Iran on the military and economic front. He said that America has weakened Iran's military capability to a great extent.

However, Trump also acknowledged that despite this, Iran can carry out small-scale attacks, such as sending drones, laying mines in the sea or firing missiles from close range.

Can America attack Iran's coastal areas?

The US President warned that if the security of the Strait of Hormuz is threatened, America can take direct military action. He indicated that if necessary, attacks can be made on Iran's coastal areas and boats and ships present there can be targeted.

This statement of Trump has further increased the tension in the Gulf region.

Why did tension increase after the attack on Kharg island?

Earlier, some military bases located on Iran's Kharg Island were targeted in American attacks. This island is considered very important for Iran's oil exports.

According to sources, if the situation worsens, the island's oil infrastructure can also be targeted. In response, Iran has warned that if its energy bases are attacked, it can completely destroy the oil infrastructure related to American interests.

Could this conflict turn into a global oil crisis?

The increasing rhetoric and military activities between the US and Iran have increased the concern of global markets. Experts believe that if the tension in the Strait of Hormuz increases further, this situation could take the form of a major energy crisis.

The ongoing conflict between America, Israel and Iran has now entered its third week and its impact is gradually becoming visible on the oil market all over the world.
