International News: US President Donald Trump on Saturday made a new move amid the Russia-Ukraine war. Trump said he was ready to impose tough sanctions on Russia, but only if all NATO allies also committed to stopping Russian oil imports and implementing similar measures. A day after the Kremlin announced the suspension of peace talks with Ukraine, Trump criticized some NATO countries for continuing to buy energy from Russia and called it "shocking" and damaging to the alliance's ability to negotiate.

"I am ready to impose major sanctions on Russia when all NATO countries agree to do so and start doing so, and when all NATO countries stop buying oil from Russia," Trump said in a post on his Truth social platform.

The US President said that as you all know, NATO's commitment towards victory has been less than 100 percent. He expressed surprise and said that some countries are buying oil from Russia. This is very shocking. This weakens the power of negotiation and bargaining with Russia.

NATO should impose 50 to 100 percent tariff on China

He stressed that if you are ready for this, he is also ready. Along with coordinated sanctions, NATO should impose tariffs of 50 to 100 percent on China and these tariffs should be withdrawn only after the war in Ukraine ends. This can weaken Beijing's influence on Moscow. Trump stressed that "If I were the president, this conflict would never have started, this is Biden and Zelensky's war.

He said, "I am here only to stop it and save thousands of Russian and Ukrainian lives (7,118 lives were lost last week alone. Shocking!). If NATO listens to me, the war will end quickly and all those lives will be saved! If not, you are just wasting my time, and the United States' time, energy and money."

Donald Trump said- my patience is running out

Earlier on Friday, Trump said he was running out of patience with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Time is running out fast," Trump said during an interview on Fox News' "Fox and Friends" program.

He further said, "When Putin wants to do it, Zelensky does not do it. When Zelensky wants to do it, Putin does not do it... We will have to respond very, very strongly."

India-US agree to negotiate on tariffs

On the other hand, the US Treasury Department has called on the G-7 countries to impose "meaningful tariffs" on China and India for buying Russian oil. This comes after Trump's request to the European Union to impose 100% tariffs on New Delhi and Beijing to pressure Russia over its war in Ukraine.

Also, Trump said that the US and India have agreed to resume trade talks after weeks of debate over India's purchase of Russian oil.

India favors a permanent solution to the war

Earlier, Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had a telephone conversation with his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski on Thursday and reiterated India's stand for an early end to the war in Ukraine and a permanent solution to the conflict. The External Affairs Minister said in a post on X, "Talked to Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski today. He expressed his concern over recent developments related to Poland's security. I emphasized that India is in favor of an early end to the war and a lasting solution to the Ukraine conflict."
