The White House denied reports of the visit

Pakistani media reported that the US president may plan to visit Islamabad on September 18. It was said that during this time he will also visit India, where a conference of the heads of the Quad countries is pending. However, when speculations about the visit heated up, the White House issued a statement dismissing these reports and said, 'The visit to Pakistan is not scheduled at this time.'

Pakistani media apologized

Pakistani media channel Geo News later retracted the fake report and apologized to its viewers. According to news agency Reuters, Geo News said it 'apologizes to its viewers for airing the news without verification.' A senior management official at another major Pakistani media outlet, ARY, told Reuters that they had retracted their report after the Foreign Office said it had no knowledge of the visit.

Interestingly, the Pakistani media did not even check Trump's schedule before reporting his visit. The US president is scheduled to visit Britain in September. King Charles will host US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at Windsor Palace on September 17-19. The visit was announced by the British royal family last Sunday, which was reported in the international media.
