‘Enough Is Enough’: Trump Urges Israel Not To Retaliate After Iran’s Missile Attack

Washington: Iran has retaliated after the attack in Lebanon. Iran fired several missiles at Israel. Israel's air defence system has become fully active after the attack. Israel is now in a mood to take revenge on Iran.

What did Trunp say?

US President Donald Trump said that he will talk to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the phone. Trump will advise Netanyahu not to respond to Iran's attack.

Speaking to Fox News, Trump warned Iran. "You fired your missiles. Enough is enough. Now come back to the negotiating table and reach a compromise," he said. According to CNN, Trump said, "We are very close to a deal. Iran has fired missiles. Enough is enough. I want a deal to be done by Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of next week."

Did Netanyahu-Trump talk?

According to the Times of Israel report, an American official told Axios that Netanyahu is currently talking to Trump on the phone. But Israel's Prime Minister's Office has not yet confirmed this.

What did the IDF say?

The Israeli Defence Forces, i.e., the IDF, said that as soon as the missiles arrived from Iran, sirens were sounded in many parts of the country. Defence systems are engaged in stopping the threat.

The Israeli Air Force also said that missiles had arrived and the defence system was active. Home Front Command has issued safety instructions for the people.

What instructions did people receive?

Home Front Command sent messages directly to people's mobile phones. People have been asked to move to a safe place as soon as they receive the alert. Stay there until further notice. Do not go out until the message ‘All Clear’ comes. The army says that these instructions save lives.

Did the UK also respond?

On Iran's attack, Britain's Foreign Minister Cooper said that resuming fighting between Iran and Israel is not in anyone's interest. After the news of the attack, a rise in the prices of crude oil was seen. Market experts say that if the tension increases further, petrol and diesel may become expensive.
