International News: The long-running conflict between Israel and Hamas has once again intensified, as both sides refuse to soften their positions. Recently, Hamas clearly stated that it will not give up its weapons until an independent Palestinian state is created. The group has said it will continue its armed resistance until Palestinians get their rights, including the establishment of a sovereign nation with Jerusalem as its capital.

Hamas Rejects Disarmament Demands

As part of ceasefire efforts, mediators like Egypt and Qatar have asked Hamas to disarm in order to move toward peace in the region. However, Hamas has firmly rejected these calls. The organization says that unless a political solution is found that gives Palestine full independence, it cannot stop its armed struggle. This statement has made ceasefire talks more difficult, especially as Israel has made disarming Hamas a major condition for any permanent truce.

The war in Gaza has been ongoing for nearly two years. Israel insists that peace can only come when militant groups like Hamas are fully disarmed. But Hamas sees its weapons as a form of resistance and a way to defend its people. This major disagreement is keeping the region locked in violence and uncertainty.

Civilian Deaths in Gaza

Amid these political statements, the situation on the ground remains tragic. On Saturday alone, at least 44 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes and gunfire in Gaza. Ten people died near food aid centers, while 19 others were killed while waiting in long lines near trucks delivering relief items. Many more were injured.

Survivors have shared heartbreaking stories. Yahya Yousef, who went to a food center run by the Global Humanitarian Foundation, said that searching for food has become a painful daily task. "Every morning we leave our tents with hope, and by evening, we come back with nothing," he said. Children, the elderly, and even mothers with babies are all seen walking long distances just to find food.

Unfortunately, these desperate efforts often end in tragedy, as many people become victims of sudden Israeli strikes. With no safe shelters or enough food, life in Gaza has turned into a daily battle for survival.

Israeli Military Vows to Continue Strikes

The Israeli army has made it clear that operations in Gaza will not stop until all hostages held by Hamas are released. Israeli Defense Forces Chief Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi said that the military will continue its actions without rest, aiming to free the captives and weaken Hamas's power.

Meanwhile, the families of hostages in Israel are extremely worried. They fear that due to food shortages in Gaza, even the hostages may not be getting enough to eat. In Tel Aviv, families held protests asking for an immediate ceasefire and the safe return of their loved ones.

Hamas Releases Hostage Video

Adding to the growing tension, Hamas released a video showing two Israeli hostages, Evyatar David and Rom Braslavsky, sitting beside hungry Palestinian children. The video has increased public fear and emotional pressure, with many asking the government to do more to bring the hostages home.
