Tehran: Amidst the increasing military confrontation between America and Iran, the Indian government has issued a new travel advisory for its citizens. In view of the continuously deteriorating security situation in West Asia, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has appealed to the Indians to postpone travelling to Iran for the time being and the people present there to immediately move to a safe place.

The Embassy has urged Indian citizens living in Iran to move to safe places as soon as possible using available commercial flights. Officials say that the situation can change at any time, so one should avoid taking risks.

What should those who cannot leave Iran right now do?

The embassy has advised Indians who cannot exit Iran at present to be extra cautious. They have been asked to follow the safety instructions issued by the local administration, avoid crowded areas, especially the southern coastal areas. It is also advised to keep an eye on all official updates.
