New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone on Monday. Prime Minister Modi told Putin that the Ukraine problem should be resolved peacefully. India is always in favor of peace. At the same time, Putin gave information about his conversation with US President Donald Trump in Alaska. After talking to Putin, PM Modi wrote on Xpost, "Thank you to my friend President Putin for the phone call and for sharing information about your recent meeting with President Trump in Alaska. India has consistently called for a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict and supports all efforts in this regard. I look forward to our continued exchanges in the days to come."

Let us tell you that on August 15, talks were held between President Putin and Donald Trump in Alaska on many issues, including the Ukraine war. However, no decisive decision was taken about the war in this conversation. On the other hand, talks are scheduled between Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday night (Indian time).

Modi Reaffirms India’s Peace Stand

Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s neutral and peace-oriented approach after his phone call with President Putin. He emphasized that India consistently supports dialogue and diplomacy in resolving global crises. Modi’s post on X highlighted the importance of constructive discussions and reassured India’s readiness to contribute positively to peace efforts. The message also projected India’s global image as a responsible stakeholder.

Putin–Trump Alaska Meeting

President Putin’s recent talks with former U.S. President Donald Trump in Alaska covered sensitive global issues, including the Ukraine war.
