MEA spokesperson Jaiswal explained that three points highlight Pakistan’s responsibility. First, Pakistan shelters terrorist groups and promotes their violent actions. Second, it has a habit of blaming its neighbors whenever it faces internal failures. Third, Pakistan is upset because Afghanistan is exercising its sovereignty over its territory.
These remarks reflect India’s sharp criticism of Pakistan. New Delhi has long accused Islamabad of exporting terrorism across the border. The latest comments send a strong warning to Pakistan. India wants the global community to notice this pattern of behavior.
Jaiswal made it clear that India stands with Afghanistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence. He stressed that Afghanistan has the right to defend its borders and make independent decisions. India has committed itself to supporting Kabul through diplomatic and humanitarian means. He also revealed that India’s current technical mission in Kabul will soon shift to a full embassy.
This shows India’s long-term engagement with Afghanistan. Officials in Delhi believe only a stable Afghanistan can bring peace to the region. India’s message is that Pakistan cannot dictate terms to Kabul.
The conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan intensified after October 10, when fresh cross-border attacks began. Both nations claim they responded to armed provocations by the other side. The problem, however, goes back to 2021 when the Taliban took control of Kabul. Since then, Pakistan and Afghanistan have regularly accused each other of border violations.
