New York (America): India has given a stern warning to Pakistan in the United Nations and said that the human rights violations taking place in its occupied parts of Kashmir should be stopped immediately. India also reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral parts of India and the democratic process is going on regularly there.
India has accused Pakistan that its army and its shadow henchmen are seriously violating human rights in the areas under its occupation. India's Permanent Representative Parvathneni Harish said that the people in these areas are openly revolting against Pakistan's military rule, oppression, cruelty, and illegal exploitation of resources.
The issue was raised in the open session of the UN Security Council (UNSC), where Harish said that the concept of “fundamental rights” is unfamiliar in Pakistan and the ongoing public participation in Jammu and Kashmir is proof that democracy continues to operate there.
India said that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are “indivisible" parts of India. It was said that Pakistan has been continuously making allegations, but it is such “double character and hypocrisy” that it is meaningless to give time on the UN platform. India also said that Pakistan is trying to defame those who have exercised democratic options (voting, participation in governance).
This is not just a diplomatic statement but a new turn in the long-running India-Pakistan Kashmir dispute, where India has directly challenged Pakistan on the international stage. According to many analysts, this is a serious political and strategic signal that India is now staking its claim more fiercely at the global level.
This statement by India not only puts Pakistan in the dock on the international stage but also gives the message that India will now respond strongly to any false propaganda on Kashmir. This statement is being considered as the beginning of a new chapter in the diplomatic direction of South Asia and India-Pakistan relations.
