New Delhi: Iran's military unit the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed that it destroyed America's nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln with drones and missiles. According to Tehran, the ship was badly damaged in the attack and had to flee. The US Defense Department has completely rejected these claims and called them propaganda. US officials told CBS News that US forces actually responded after an Iranian ship came dangerously close.

Iran's state channel Press TV claimed that the IRGC Navy carried out a 'precise military operation' against a US warship in the Gulf of Oman. According to the report, this ship deployed about 340 kilometers from the Iranian border was targeted.
