Pakistan: Qasim Khan, the younger son of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, made serious allegations and said that his father has been kept in complete isolation and the family is not being given any permission to meet or talk to him. Qasim wrote on X that Imran Khan has been in custody for the last 845 days and has been kept alone in the death-row cell for the last six weeks. He says that the family does not have any proof of his being alive at this time.
Qasim said that despite the court order, Imran Khan's sisters could not meet even once. No phones allowed, no contact of any kind. He wrote that all this is not just for security reasons but is a deliberate effort so that the family does not get any information about Imran Khan's condition. According to Qasim, he and his brother Suleman have not been able to hear their father's voice for months.
Qasim alleges that the government is deliberately hiding information. He says this is a “deliberate blackout” that is being done just to keep the situation unclear and keep the family away from the truth. He warned that if there is any loss to Imran Khan's security, the Pakistan government and its supporters will be fully responsible.

Qasim said in his appeal that global human rights organizations, democratic countries, and international organizations should immediately intervene. He demanded that Imran Khan's "proof of life" be issued, meetings be allowed as per the rights granted by the court, and this "inhumane solitary confinement" be ended. Qasim says that Imran Khan is being targeted purely for political reasons.
PTI has also demanded an official clarification from the government and permission to meet the family immediately. Amid the government's silence, rumors spread on social media, including claims of harm to Imran Khan. The jail administration dismissed these rumors as false, but the uncertainty further increased the anxiety of party supporters.
On Wednesday, Imran Khan's three sisters and PTI workers sat on a dharna outside Adiala jail. Later thousands of supporters also reached there. The party alleged that during the earlier protests, the police had attacked Imran's sisters and workers. After a long period of tension, the jail administration assured Imran's sisters of allowing them to meet, after which the protest ended.
The Adiala Jail administration says that Imran Khan is completely safe and he is not harmed. He claims that medical facilities, food, and all other necessary things are being provided to Imran. The same thing was reiterated by the government also. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif even said that Imran Khan is getting such facilities in jail that are not available even in “many five-star hotels.”
