Sushila Karki became the first woman PM of Nepal, took oath at Rashtrapati Bhavan

After violent protests and the resignation of PM Oli, the command of Nepal has now been handed over to Sushila Karki. She has taken oath as interim PM at Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is believed that emergency may also be imposed in the country at 12 o'clock tonight.

International News: The command of Nepal is now in the hands of Sushila Karki. She took oath as the country's first woman PM at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Currently she is the interim PM of Nepal. After imposing a ban on social media in the country, the young generation there came out on the streets and created a lot of ruckus. There was uproar, vandalism and arson from the Parliament to the streets. After this, PM Oli had to resign.

According to sources, there has been a consensus among Nepal's political parties on dissolving the parliament. Dissolution of the parliament means that when the situation becomes normal there, elections will also be held.

Oli had to resign after the protests

Currently, PM Oli had to resign in view of the protests by Gen-Z. The youth also attacked the Parliament and committed arson. Even the former PM's wife was burnt alive by a mob angry with the ban on social media. Nepal's House of Representatives Speaker Devraj Ghimire and Upper House National Assembly Speaker Narayan Dahal on Friday called for the current political deadlock to be resolved within the ambit of the Constitution. The joint statement of Ghimire and Dahal came on a day when an important meeting was being held in the President's Office. In the same meeting, a consensus was also reached on making Sushila Karki the interim PM of the country.

51 people died in violent protests

At least 51 people, including an Indian national, have died in the Gen Z protests against corruption and ban on social media platforms in Nepal. Youth born between 1997 and 2012 are generally known as the Gen Z generation. The youth said that the government is trying to bring dictatorship in the country by banning social media. However, after the protests by the youth, Nepal's Oli government had to step back and lift the ban. In view of the protests, Oli also had to resign.
